Colonel Frederic (Eric) L.R Jackman, CStJ, OOnt, PhD, LLD

Eric Jackman was appointed Honorary Colonel of the Toronto Scottish Regiment (Queen Elizabeth the Queen Mother’s Own) in May 2002. From 1996 – 2002 he served as the Honorary Lieutenant-Colonel. Colonel Jackman is also Chairman of the Jackman Foundation and President of Invicta Investments Incorporated. He is involved in several educational, community, and cultural organisations. He is the past Chancellor of the University of Windsor, vice-chairman of the Atlantic Council of Canada, a director of the Canadian Journalism Foundation, and the Hearing Foundation of Canada. The Colonel is a past Grand Prior of the Military and Hospitaller Order of Saint Lazurus of Jerusalem and a Commander of the Order of St. John.

Colonel Jackman was the Chairman of the World War II 50th Anniversary Monument Tribute Committee, erected in Coronation Park across from the Fort York Armoury. It was dedicated by His Excellency, the Governor General Romeo Leblanc on November 14, 1995.

In April 2002, the Colonel was in Westminster Abbey, England, attending the funeral of the Regiment’s Colonel-in-Chief, Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth the Queen Mother.

Colonel Jackman is married to Sara, and has three children, Tara, Thomas and Robert. In his spare time he enjoys skiing and vacationing in Georgian Bay.
